AcroYoga Brisbane West End JamBack
We’re a mixed group of monkeys who love playing at the park. Some do yoga, others don’t, some have an acrobatics background, others used to be (sometimes still are!) the lazy kind. So, whether you’re old, young (at heart or otherwise), experienced or a complete newbie, everyone is welcome 🙂 There’s no need to bring a partner, but by all means invite anyone who might be interested or just curious, the more the merrier!
Meeting point is marked with a pin in the photo, river end of the football field.
— What is an AcroJam? —
An AcroJam is a space and time when we get together to hang out, practice our skills and play. A jam is not a workshop or lesson, it is simply a gathering of like-minded people who love acrobatics, yoga or the fusion of the two.
If you’re new to acro and want to come see what the excitement is about, feel free to come along too 🙂 Keep in mind that this is purely an exchange of skills and that if you’re looking for something more structured, do come along and ask about regular classes on offer.
Before attending an Acro Jam, it’s important to acknowledge that acrobatics, yoga and other forms of movement and activity may put you at risk of physical injury. We encourage all participants to keep this in mind and approach each activity with an idea of how to perform it safely, whether that involves using extra spotters or insight from more experienced members. In our jams, we aim to have fun, improve our skills and push the limits, while also being safe. Accidents can happen, so it is important for each person participating in an a jam to understand/acknowledge their own risk and agree to not hold any individual, party or group liable for any injuries or damage that may occur to yourself or to others. Have fun and be safe!
— Usual Jam Schedule —
> Saturday – Davies Park from 12 pm
> Sunday – New Farm Park from 2 pm
Just around the corner is another weekend and our Saturday Jam at Davies Park in West End is back from 12 pm!
We have also been jamming at New Farm Park (corner of Brunswick St and Sydney St) on Sundays from 2ish pm, so double the fun time (or double the options!) 😀
It’s a great time to come and practice all things acro and even flying therapeutics, learn some new ones and help fellow jammers 🙂 On Sunday at New Farm there is also slacklining.
