School Holiday Kids’ Activities – Brisbane Newsletter #1

School holiday activities for kids in Brisbane Newsletter #1

Just as day turns into night, the school year has turned into school holidays.

To avoid tearing out all your hair before school resumes in 2017, you will need to keep your little darlings occupied for the next six weeks.

This is where Active in Brisbane can help.

Tennis Gear has two different programs for children (ages 4 to 17 years), both of them running from 9am to 3pm and facilitated by some of the region’s best coaches. One program focuses solely on teaching participants all about tennis, while the other introduces kids to a variety of sports, including tennis, cricket, golf, soccer and ultimate Frisbee. Both cater for all skill levels, so if your child knows nothing or lots about sport, they will find their niche. For more information click here.

RIVERLIFE

While Riverlife is famous for its water-based activities, its School Holiday Adventure Pass also includes abseiling, segways and laser tag. Kids can participate for half a day, a whole day, or an entire week of outdoor fun. Is there a better way to get outdoors and explore what Brisbane has to offer? For more information click here. Children aged 8 to 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

circaCIRCA

Does your child long to perform death-defying stunts under the Big Top, including the trapeze, juggling, handstands, and building a human pyramid?

In January, Circa will provide the opportunity, over two day-long workshops, for your child to learn all the tricks of the circus trade. Recommended for ages 6 to 12 years. Click here for more info.

ACCELERATION ESPspeed-camp

Something for the older kids who are more serious about their sport.

Acceleration ESP provides intense training for older children who are looking to increase their speed or strength, regardless of which sport they play. Participants can take part in up to 16 hour-long sessions to take their athleticism to the next level, just in time for the next year’s sporting programs.
